Superior Skilled Trades is seeking Industrial Painters/Loaders for an immediate start in Cocoa, FL! WEEKLY PAY --- LONG TERM! PAY: $23-$24/hour (based upon experience) HOURS: Shifts will be 10-hour workdays, 4 days/week. SCHEDULE: Workdays will be Monday-Thursday; 6:00am – 4:30pm START DATE: ASAP DURATION: Temp-to-hire Job Description: We are seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Industrial Painter/Loader to join our fabrication shop team. In this role, you will be responsible for prepping and painting structural steel components, as well as assisting with the loading and unloading of materials. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment. This position plays a critical role in supporting the overall operations of the shop and helping us meet high standards for quality and safety. Key Responsibilities: --Prep and paint structural steel using appropriate tools and techniques --Apply coatings using industrial paint sprayers and related equipment --Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes --Perform rigging tasks to move materials as needed --Load and unload structural steel from delivery trucks --Support general shop operations and assist with tasks as required Requirements: --Experience using industrial paint sprayers --Proficient in overhead crane operation --Ability to work collaboratively with coworkers, supervisors, and clients --Must follow all company safety policies and OSHA standards --Flexible availability, including overtime and Saturdays --Basic math skills --Able to work in both hot and cold environments --Physically capable of standing for long periods (up to 10 hours) --Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced setting Additional Requirements: --Must be eligible to work in the United States --Must have reliable transportation to the job site --Pre-employment drug screen and background check are required WE ARE AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER! Responsibilities may also include servicing, maintaining, and repairing existing hangar door systems as needed. Coordinate with crane operators and signal workers to execute lifts safely. • Welding and Cutting: perform welding and cutting operations to fabricate and modify steel components as required. Use levels, lasers, and other measuring tools to ensure proper positioning to fit. Position Specific Duties: Operate chairlifts within the guidelines of Washington State tramway safety committee rules and ansi b77 code books. Required to conduct Daily, Weekly, and monthly inspections for any existing or potential problems, to maintain and repair lifts according to prescribed procedures see maintenance manuals. Must be able to open assigned lifts for operation: Turning on main power (480 vac), turn on low voltage, perform all stop and safety checks at all stations, check all fluids at stations including primary, secondary, spacing gear boxes, brakes, hydraulic tension, apu and tertiary reservoirs, battery fluid levels and so forth. Perform drive checks: checking all machinery and mechanical parts of the drive station, including primary drive, auxiliary drive, primary, secondary, and spacing gear boxes, fluid levels, batteries, terminal sheaves, tires, belts, brake pads, hoses, and so forth.
