Responsibilities - Operate and maintain printing presses (3404 E DI and 9995 ABDick, Kompac Water System), to produce quality print products. - Set up and adjust press parameters for optimal performance and quality output. - Burn and process plates as needed to complete work order. - Conduct prepress checks to ensure all files meet production standards. - Mix Pantone inks and implement color management techniques to achieve accurate color reproduction. - Perform quality control checks throughout the printing process to ensure consistency and adherence to specifications. - Calculate and record an exact account of all completed work. - Collaborate with the graphic design team to understand layout designs and typography requirements. - Measure stock and cut it appropriately for the specific work order. - Conduct weekly maintenance on machinery, reporting any issues or problems to appropriate supervisor. - Take inventory of materials for the week and month. - Continually learning new processes to increase efficiency as well as maintaining proficiency in operation of all current equipment, including but not limited to all offset and letterpress equipment. - Clean plate processor on a monthly basis in order to maintain the efficiency of the machine. - Assist in various departments as needed in order to meet daily business needs. - Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all safety protocols are followed. - Operate forklifts for material handling when necessary.
