Yard Supervisor Role: Full-Time Employment With Benefits We are New City Moving LLC, Chicago’s largest and most acclaimed independent moving company, as well as one of the largest single independent moving branches in the United States.  We are currently accepting candidates to join our team for the Yard Supervisor position.  The yard supervisor is in charge of maintaining order amongst the three yards that we occupy. General Duties: - Making sure people are following company rules. - Ensuring the yards are kept clean and that all company property is accounted for during each shift. - More specific duties include directing material handlers - Performing check-in/check-out procedures with crews - Reporting vehicle issues to the fleet team - Assisting with material distribution - Maintaining a spreadsheet of data regarding materials This position is in frequent communication with the dispatchers, the branch fleet manager, as well as personnel at our corporate office. Requirements: - The right individual must speak fluent English. - Excellent attention to detail. - Valid driver’s license. - lift up to 50lbs - Basic knowledge of how to navigate Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel. - Work a semi-firm schedule of flexible shifts. Those with previous experience in security, law enforcement, education, and those with the ability to also speak fluent Spanish will be given extra consideration. Job Summary: We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented individuals to join the G+D team as Secure Production Operators III in our secure Bolingbrook, IL facility. We have two shifts available. 1st shift will work Monday through Friday 6am-2pm. 2nd shift will operate Monday through Friday 2pm-10pm. This role involves handling sensitive materials and operating complex machinery for the production of high-security items. Duties & Essential Job Functions: Operate and maintain the machine, ensuring high-quality production of secure product. Follow strict security protocols to handle sensitive materials and personal data. Perform routine machine checks and maintenance to ensure optimal operation and identify any issues. Collaborate with the quality assurance team to uphold product standards and identify any defects. Document production processes and maintain accurate records of materials used and products produced. Assist in troubleshooting machine issues and coordinate with technical support for complex problems. Access daily work files from the workstations on the production floor. Help in delivering the correct materials to each workstation in order to meet production goals for the shift. Monitor inventory levels of materials required to complete jobs and alert manager if stock is not adequate for the day's production. Run daily production as trained and directed for highly secure personalization on mailing machines. Perform basic data entry into Excel as needed. Relay issues and concerns to Operations Manager for HSA department. Follow and comply with policies, procedures, processes and general company information. Adhere to safety guidelines and company policies at all times. Required Skills & Qualifications: High School diploma or GED preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience operating advanced machinery. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve machine issues. Advanced understanding of the production process and quality standards. Ability to mentor and provide guidance to level one operators. Basic mechanical skills and ability to operate machinery. Must be willing to stand for the majority of the work day. Reason through problems involving set-up and operation. Must be able to pass a background check and drug test. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex procedures. Physical Requirements & Work Environment: Regular exposure to machinery noise; ear protection may be required. Fast-paced production floor requiring prolonged periods of standing and operation of machinery. Requires working on hard floor - regular standing, walking, bending, squatting, twisting and stooping. Requires the ability to lift 15 pounds with occasional lifting up to 50 pounds. Regular and consistent attendance, including overtime whether on a voluntary or mandatory basis. Requires visual acuity to operate a computer, read a computer screen, read policies and manuals. Requires manual dexterity to operate a computer, phone, fax, and scanner.
