Position Summary: We are seeking a professional, experienced, and highly organized full-time housekeeper for a private residence. Location: Germantown, Maryland Structured Cleaning Schedule: Daily Tasks: • Wash dishes/load and unload dishwasher • Clean kitchen surfaces, sink, range hood surfaces • Make beds and tidy bedrooms • Vacuum bathrooms and wipe down bathroom toilets and sink areas • Dust and vacuum high-traffic areas • Take out trash and recycling • Laundry: washing, drying, folding, ironing (as needed) • General tidying and organization Weekly and Bi-Weekly Tasks: • Deep clean bathrooms (showers, tubs, tiles, grout) • Change and launder bed linens and towels • Mop hard floors and deep vacuum carpets • Dust furniture, light fixtures, and baseboards • Vacuum and clean under furniture, behind bed headboard • Clean kitchen appliances (inside microwave, fridge exterior, etc.) • Clean patio, entry areas and Garage • Wipe down interior doors and frames • Dusting and wipe down blinds and windows • Inspect and clean cleaning tools and restock household supplies Monthly Tasks: • Clean inside oven • Dust ceiling fans and vents • Organize pantry and kitchen cupboards • Clean inside refrigerator and freezer Semi-Annual Tasks: • Assist with seasonal wardrobe rotation or decluttering and vacuum • Vacuum, Wipe Clean out and organize storage spaces • Wipe down living space interior walls Additional Responsibilities: • Run household errands (if required) • Report any repairs or maintenance needs promptly • Assist with meal preparation (as needed) • Care for houseplants Qualifications: • Minimum 3 years of housekeeping experience in a private residence • Excellent knowledge of cleaning procedures, products, and equipment • Physically fit and able to perform duties efficiently • Excellent references required • High attention to detail and time management • Discreet, reliable, and respectful of privacy • Must learn and adapt to the homeowner’s specific cleaning processes within the first month to ensure continuation of employment. BARRINGTON APARTMENTS Weekend hours: On-call as needed The Maintenance/Service Technician reports directly to the Service Manager and is responsible for performing make-ready repairs to all vacant units prior to move-in. HVAC certified preferred. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform repairs to make-ready units in a timely manner. Is responsible for 24 hour on-call, as scheduled by the Service Manager, respond to on-call paging. Assist the Service Manager or Housekeeper with their work if necessary. Assist the Grounds personnel with trashing out units if necessary. Assist the Service Manager with inventory control and utilization of maintenance materials and supplies. Inspect property for improvements and repairs and review with the Service Manager. Perform work order requests. Assist the Service Manager with maintenance requests. Ensure that the grounds are free of litter at all times. Operate and perform scheduled maintenance properly on all equipment. Know the location of gas and water meter emergency cut offs, all apartment and fixture cut offs, and sewer clean outs. Paint interior and exterior when required. Assist the Property Manager or other staff members when requested. Perform work orders with “same day completion” in mind. Review work orders with Service Manager on a daily basis. Responsible for adherence to policies outline outlined in Employee handbook. Responsible for keeping the Maintenance shop clean and in order at all times. Be immediately available in the event of snow. Follow the Maintenance General Operating Policies. Maintain a professional appearance in uniform and display a good attitude at all times. Be aware of personal hygiene and cleanliness while on the job. Understand the importance of a good attitude and “team spirit”. Work well with other staff members. Be cooperative in helping at another site when needed and be flexible to transfer to another property if needed. After-hours on call required on a rotating basis.
