Core duties and responsibilities Floors: Sweep, mop, and vacuum all types of floors. Surfaces: Dust and polish furniture, countertops, and other surfaces. Restrooms and Kitchens: Clean, sanitize, and disinfect all surfaces, fixtures, and appliances. Waste removal: Empty trash and recycling bins and replace liners. Windows and mirrors: Clean interior and exterior windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces. Supply management: Replenish soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and other restroom and kitchen supplies. Specialized tasks: Perform additional cleaning as needed, such as carpet shampooing or floor waxing. Reporting: Identify and report any maintenance or repair needs to a supervisor. Skills and qualifications Physicality: Must have the physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and perform other manual tasks for extended periods. Attention to detail: A meticulous approach is crucial for ensuring thorough cleanliness. Time management: Ability to organize and complete tasks efficiently within a given schedule. Safety awareness: Knowledge of and adherence to health, safety, and security protocols, including the safe use of cleaning chemicals. Dependability: Punctual, reliable, and able to work independently. Communication: Good verbal communication skills are beneficial for reporting issues and coordinating with others. Experience: Prior cleaning experience is often preferred, but not always mandatory.
