Presidio is seeking a Server Engineer for a customer in Center City Philadelphia. The preferred candidate would be local to the Greater Philadelphia area and able to travel into the office 3 days a week. This individual will be a member of IT Help Desk Team and ensure systems are operational, configured appropriately and performing correctly. Responsibilities: Server operations: Measure the power and performance of various server platforms including both internal and competitive systems. Responsible for server assembly, operation, SW installation and debug/repair of hardware. Setup, configure, run maintenance, and lifecycle of Storage and Data Backup solutions. Patch management testing and coordination including development and testing security patch packages. Participate in technical on-call rotation. Installation and maintenance: Install parts (e.g. processors, memory, storage, NICs, etc.) for both rack and bench systems. Perform routine data collection and maintain systems, racks, power, network, and remote access. Serve as a key enabler for offsite resources by resetting systems, swapping out parts, and providing overall scheduling for server usage. Maintain lab server and network infrastructure and conduct automated tests on Clients Software/Hardware components. Configure Windows, setup PC from scratch, and troubleshoot hardware and software. Load drivers in Windows. Assist in maintaining IP Addressing database. Assist in maintenance and auditing of all monitoring systems. Firm Building:  Active engagement in department-specific and firm-wide initiatives in order to expand capabilities, create solutions to unmet business needs, improve user experience, or develop more efficient processes. Ability and willingness to contribute to the advancement of team, office and business capabilities. Other duties as required by the position. Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent experience required. 3+ years of experience working as a Server Technician, Network Administrator or Windows Server Administrator required. 3+ years' experience in Windows, MS-Exchange, MS Office 365, basic networking and overall end-user support required. Excellent customer service skills including the ability to work with all levels of employee. Must possess a sense of urgency and work well under pressure. Ability to work independently, remotely or as a team. Ability to participate in on call rotation that may include evenings and weekends. DNI/Creative IT Solutions is providing all systems administration and network engineering skill sets for the US Army's global email systems for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). Install, configure, administer and maintain currently supported and subsequent versions of network offerings within a commercial cloud tenant construct. Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP), The contractor shall ensure all documents and reports are written and formatted properly. Monitor tenant performance utilizing cloud based monitoring and alerting software. Ensures that all projects they are supporting have the latest updates on and that government leadership is tracking any priority efforts that are not expected to meet mission timelines. The contract should be prepared to participate in high level briefings for workload they are supporting. All contractor actions must be done in accordance with official government guidelines to maintain compliance with all government policies and process. The contractor shall deliver Quality Assurance and Service Level Management project reports using Government owned data to perform and provide weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual Quality Assurance (QA) reports. The contractor shall ensure projects follow government processes for assigning, categorizing, and documenting from start to completion. Maintain the current dashboard and implement necessary changes to report up to date metrics and analyses. The contractor shall have privileged access to a DISA information system, which shall have an ability and authority to control and change program files, and other users’ access to data. Evaluate and engineer highly available network solutions based upon customers’ requirements which are capable of meeting strict uptime requirements. Use the established change management process to provide changes in response to policies, security, or customer requests. Ensure compliance with Joint Task Force (JTF) directives for ports and protocols. Supported functions include but are not limited to installing, configuring, monitoring, operating, upgrading, patching, technical refresh, troubleshooting, deep packet inspection, network packet capture, quality assurance, and Return Material Authorization (RMA) network communications equipment. Ensure the migration and implementation efforts conform to the physical and logical infrastructure and security configurations (such as Access Control List (ACLs) and deny-by-default). Implementation and configurations of hardware or software devices and network functions to support new services and applications.
