Job Title: Cook – Small Bites & Tapas Location: Hello Bar – Brooklyn, NY Job Type: Part-Time Compensation:$16-$18 per hour Shifts: 5pm-12am Wednesday- Saturday --- About Us: Hello Bar is where bold flavors meet smooth vibes. Located in Brooklyn, we’re a stylish, culture-forward tapas dive bar serving up craft cocktails, small-batch spirits, and mouthwatering bites. Our kitchen is compact but mighty—electric-only, built for speed, flavor, and finesse. --- Position Overview: We’re looking for a Dependable cook who knows how to do a lot with a little. This is not your typical kitchen—we’re all-electric, tight on space, and high on flavor. You’ll be prepping and executing a curated menu of small plates and bar snacks designed to complement the cocktail experience. --- Responsibilities: * Prepare and execute a rotating menu of flavorful small bites and tapas using electric kitchen equipment (fryer, induction, convection, etc.) * Follow and maintain DOH food safety protocols and keep a clean, organized workstation * Manage prep and maximize quality * Work with the bar team to communicate food orders during service * Open and close the kitchen including setup, breakdown, and daily cleaning --- Qualifications: * 2-5 years kitchen experience, ideally in a bar, café, or small plate setting * Comfortable working solo in a limited-space, electric-only kitchen * Ability to work fast without compromising presentation * Food Handler’s License required * Available evenings and weekends * Payroll ready MUST BE ABLE TO WORK IN THE U.S. --- What You’ll Get: * Staff meal * Creative input in menu development * Opportunities to grow with a minority-woman-owned brand that values culture, flavor, and community * A chill, supportive work environment with a little edge --- To Apply: Email your resume Subject Line: “Cook Application "
