Assembly Technician - Aerospace Location: Denver, CO 80215 (Lakewood) Pay: $24 per hour Schedule: 1st Shift Job Description: We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Assembly Technician with experience in the aerospace manufacturing industry. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing final parts by cleaning, inspecting, and treating machined components using a variety of tools and techniques. Key Responsibilities: Including but not limited to: *Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products *Grind, sand, clean, or polish objects or parts to correct defects or to prepare surfaces for further finishing, using hand tools and power tools *Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes *Verify quality of finished workpieces by inspecting them, comparing them to templates, measuring their dimensions, or testing them in working machinery *File grooved, contoured, and irregular surfaces of metal objects, such as metalworking dies and machine parts, to conform to templates, other parts, layouts, or blueprint specifications *Apply solutions and chemicals to equipment, objects, or parts, using hand tools *Operate manual mill and/or lathe Qualifications: *Soldering experience; Certification of IPC-610(preferred) and J-STD-001, or willing to obtain upon hire *Eligible or already have security clearance (highly desirable) *Able to read blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions. *Ability to use hand tools including deburring blades, scraper handles, Dremel’s, rotary brushes, sanders and grinders. *Good hand dexterity and coordination is necessary as products and components are typically very small. *Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow step-by-step instructions *Ability to perform repetitive tasks while standing, bending, and lifting (up to 50 lbs.) *Able to carry out tasks that require steady, precise arm movement for taping/masking parts For more information, please call Ms. Alana Ortiz at (720) 419-2303. Key Job Responsibilities: • Batch mixing of none hazardous chemicals in the production of silicone polymers by utilizing standard operating procedures • Performing packaging functions of various products and containers utilizing scales and pump equipment as well as labeling • Must have sufficient dexterity and strength to operate process equipment such as valves, pumps, switches, etc. • Must be able to read and understand process batch sheets containing product process directions and safety precautions • Must be able to write legibly and record results accurately • Required to stand up to 90% of the working day with frequent walking, intermittent stopping, and bending while operating equipment, drumming, etc. • Must be able to tolerate periodic hot, inside working conditions or cold outside conditions • Equipment operations, drum tool, hand tool, hoist, pump, and scale operations • Receive, ship, store, and distribute raw materials, packaging, and finished goods • Safely stack drums in their designated area within the warehouse and manufacturing locations • Coordinate and prioritize several tasks at one time • Must be able to calculate various measurements using basic math skills • Maintain a clean work environment following 5S principals • Must be able to work an 4-5 hour shift. • Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment such as safety shoes, safety glasses, hard hats and respirator • Physical demands may include repetitive movements, handling and moving 55-gallon drums, lifting of 60 pounds, wearing a respirator, working in hot or cold environments; hearing protection may be required for certain tasks • Work safely when performing job responsibilities • Must be able to climb ladders and stairs • Must be able to read and understand customer orders, bill of ladings, and packing slips • Must be able to write legibly and record results accurately Cross training opportunity within company Job Qualifications: 1.
