Work Scheduled will be • Weekend Shift Friday, Saturday & Sunday 5:30am-6pm (3 x 12 hour shift week, OT is available) - $25.80/hr Position Description (Principle Duties and Responsibilities) Assembles mechanical units, fabricated parts/components and/or electrical/electronic systems to make subassemblies, assemblies or complete units using hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures and miscellaneous equipment. Fits, aligns, calibrates and adjusts parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements; repairing units or products that have failed to meet requirements. • This position requires knowledge that is acquired through experience, specialized education or training. • The role has clearly defined procedures and tasks as well as defined guidelines to aid in decision making. • Technical knowledge required is limited to the tasks performed in own discipline area and is considered basic. • The tasks are generally routine and manual. • The job is expected to follow detailed and defined rules / instructions and to make simple judgement in straightforward situations. • Typically requires selecting between solutions already established. This is NOT a housekeeping position – your focus will be 100% on personal care and safety. Important Details: Schedule: Mon, Wed, Thur, Fri - 20 hours per week, start time no earlier than 10:00 AM Location: Private home in Saylorsburg Surveillance: There are cameras in the home for safety. About Client: Diagnosed with Parkinson’s and dementia, with history of stroke (left side affected) Major fall risk – Client may attempt to stand or walk without assistance. You must stay close by and provide supervision during all transfers and ambulation. Uses a foot/ankle brace for dropped foot Difficulty swallowing – all liquids are thickened. Urinary incontinence – assist with changing incontinence pads Needs bathing, dressing, and continence care support About 10–20% assistance required for transfers Walk-in shower with shower chair and grab bars installed throughout home Sit-to-stand machine available (not currently in use but may be needed) Additional Notes: The client’s wife emphasizes the need for an aide who is attentive, engaged, and proactive. Previous caregivers were not focused enough — attention to detail and constant awareness are crucial.
