This position is for an installer for our granite crew. The responsibilities include carrying and installing countertops in commercial and residential settings, managing the care and maintenance of tools and equipment, loading and unloading slabs, some granite cutting and polishing. The applicant must have a valid Massachusetts drivers license, as well as their own transportation to and from our office. You must have the ability to carry heavy objects, be proficient in using a tape measure and solve simple math problems. If you are presently skilled doing carpentry work, this is a great way to learn a new trade. We a family owned and operated business that is growing rapidly so the chances for advancement are excellent. We’ve been in business for 22 years and we are a very stable company. Wages will be based on skill level but a person with the basic skills can expect to be paid 24.00 per hour. This is a full time position. You must have a verifiable work history. Mobile Mechanic Position Dave’s Tree Service is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance and service on diesel and gas powered equipment, heavy and light trucks, and small engines to maintain company standards for safe and productive operations. Welding and fabrication experience is a must. This PART-TIME position is 10-15 hours per week, with most hours logged on Saturdays. Principal Responsibilities: Perform preventative maintenance and basic repairs on diesel and gasoline vehicles, aerial lifts, excavator, loader, and other vehicles to maximize safe and productive operations. Inspects truck and/or heavy equipment for condition, operation, and fluid levels. Identifies and designates problems with equipment. Checks, fills, and changes appropriate fluids for all vehicle parts including engine, transmission, differentials, final drives, pump drives and hubs. Greases, oils, and lubricates components during preventive maintenance service. Performs adjustments to various systems during preventive maintenance service. Maintains and/or changes air, oil, coolant, and fuel filters. Performs cooling systems maintenance. Checks safety equipment on trucks and (or) equipment. Inspects tires as needed Completes paperwork associated with preventive maintenance services and repairing equipment, documenting parts usage and accounting for applied times Inventory control Drives truck and (or) equipment in and out of repair area. Follows all safety policies and procedures. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Power washes equipment as is necessary. Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job.
