As a Memory Developer, you won’t just collect data—you’ll shape the "memory" of our robot and play a vital role in training the AI that powers it. This is your chance to collaborate on something truly groundbreaking. *Note that the term "memory" in this context is unrelated to human memory, brain function, or anything psychological. Location - NO INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS. Absolutely NO ONE outside the U.S. - Fully remote. Located in Mountain View, CA. Role Overview - Part-time, flexible schedule: record 1-2 hours of video data each day from your home (must have a full kitchen and reliable internet). - Pay-per-task model: - $30/(hour of approved data) during the 1-week screening period using your own phone. - Earn up to $60/(hour of approved data) for more complex tasks after screening. - Fast payments, within 2-3 business days via Stripe. What You’ll Do - Record motion capture videos of common household tasks to train our AI models. After the screening period you will be using our supplied equipment. Examples include arranging shoes, picking up random objects, or folding a t-shirt. - Collaborate closely with our team—your submissions will directly shape the behavior and learning of our robot. - Receive continuous feedback to ensure high-quality data and improve performance over time. - Protect data privacy by signing an NDA. - Note that this is NOT a software developer or coding role. Duties & Essential Job Functions: Operate and maintain the machine, ensuring high-quality production of secure product. Follow strict security protocols to handle sensitive materials and personal data. Perform routine machine checks and maintenance to ensure optimal operation and identify any issues. Collaborate with the quality assurance team to uphold product standards and identify any defects. Document production processes and maintain accurate records of materials used and products produced. Assist in troubleshooting machine issues and coordinate with technical support for complex problems. Access daily work files from the workstations on the production floor. Help in delivering the correct materials to each workstation in order to meet production goals for the shift. Monitor inventory levels of materials required to complete jobs and alert manager if stock is not adequate for the day's production. Run daily production as trained and directed for highly secure personalization on mailing machines. Perform basic data entry into Excel as needed. Relay issues and concerns to Operations Manager for HSA department. Follow and comply with policies, procedures, processes and general company information. Adhere to safety guidelines and company policies at all times. Required Skills & Qualifications: High School diploma or GED preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience operating advanced machinery. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve machine issues. Advanced understanding of the production process and quality standards. Ability to mentor and provide guidance to level one operators. Basic mechanical skills and ability to operate machinery. Must be willing to stand for the majority of the work day. Reason through problems involving set-up and operation. Must be able to pass a background check and drug test. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex procedures. Physical Requirements & Work Environment: Regular exposure to machinery noise; ear protection may be required. Fast-paced production floor requiring prolonged periods of standing and operation of machinery. Requires working on hard floor - regular standing, walking, bending, squatting, twisting and stooping. Requires the ability to lift 15 pounds with occasional lifting up to 50 pounds. Regular and consistent attendance, including overtime whether on a voluntary or mandatory basis. Requires visual acuity to operate a computer, read a computer screen, read policies and manuals. Requires manual dexterity to operate a computer, phone, fax, and scanner.
