SF Clean City is a non-profit organization that promotes and supports greening and beautification activities throughout San Francisco. The Green City Program offers low-income residents of San Francisco with employment barriers, opportunities for paid transitional employment, job readiness training and assistance with job placement through participation in community greening projects. The Tree Specialist Operations Manager position will provide both field supervision and work support to a team of 5+ Tree Specialist Operators. Job Responsibilities: • Managing and supervision of watering routes, 5+ Tree Specialist Operators • Safe daily driving of a heavy-duty truck • Quality assurance of all tree maintenance work and tree watering routes • Leading safety tailgates, oversight and compliance with safety protocols on routes • Tree watering on the routes, as needed • Facilitating needed resources and support for operators and program participants • Oversight of vehicle and equipment inventory ensuring clean, organized and good working conditions • Scheduling regular maintenance visits for any equipment and vehicle issues • Maintaining needed supplies and tools on water trucks • Coordination of data collection • Coordination with workforce staff and any special project scheduling for participants • Scheduling and supporting any group tree planting activities • Other related duties as needed Qualifications • Prior landscape, tree crew or construction management experience • 2+ years’ experience leading a diverse work crew • Clean driving record with the ability to maintain coverage with our insurance carrier • Strong communication and organizational skills • A passion for diversity and equity with an ability to work with a wide range of people • Ability to lift and/or move 40 pounds and perform physical labor • TDAP and Hepatitis A & Hepatitis B vaccinations are required for this position • Landscape and/or Arboriculture experience and/or education a plus • Knowledge of Spanish or Cantonese a plus Please submit resume and cover letter to: Tree Specialist Operations Manager Position c/o Executive Director Email: info@sfcleancity.com SF Clean City NO phone calls please!

Established set building/custom fabrication firm seeking full time builder/carpenter/installers with cabinet making experience for set building projects, trade show booths, retail build-outs/activations and events. We are seeking experienced, motivated, and team-oriented individuals. Prior experience with set building or production fabrication is highly desired. Cabinet making skills and expert carpentry skills are mandatory. Drop Works has been a leader in set/scenic fabrication in the Bay Area for over 25 years. We design, source and fabricate scenic architecture for commercial photo shoots and product testing, both on location, in our on-site rental photo studio. We also design and fabricate permanent retail displays and buildouts, retail activations and custom event installations. We operate a large fabrication shop and commercial photo studio, located in Vallejo, CA. Self-transport is required as employees sometimes are assigned to begin work at offsite locations around the Bay Area. Early mornings, possible travel, evenings, weekends, and overtime are all parts of the role. We are hiring for builders for immediate full-time employment (40 hours per week plus overtime as needed). Responsibilities include carpentry based fabrication scenic architecture and permanent retail fixtures, logistics, transport and installation of sets and scenic architectural elements, custom fabrication projects for commercial customers and private events. A significant amount of tasks are completed in small teams, and being able to work well with other people under tight deadlines is a must. Working accurately, efficiently and independently to complete assigned tasks is foundational to this position. -Please respond with resume and cover letter describing your skills / experience, and why you would be a good fit for this position. *Required Qualifications* •5+ years of finish carpentry experience is required. • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, crouch, pull, bend, kneel, climb and reach for extended periods of time. • Cabinet making experience is also required, as many of our projects are best served by individuals with this skillset. • Significant knowledge in the safe and effective use of of professional power tools used in a cabinet making shop and carpentry/fabrication setting (i.e. table saw, panel saw, thickness planer, compound miter saw, router, pneumatic stapler/nailer, orbital sander. • Ability to read, comprehend and accurately fabricate and install builds from drawings and plans is required. Strong mathematical ability also required to ensure accuracy and consistency when reading plans, measuring, fabricating and installing. • We require you to maintain consistent attendance with a strong focus on arriving to work at the assigned location, on-time, daily. Workflow and project efficiency is significantly improved when attendance is maintained. • Professional communication, attire, and overall demeanor with clients and colleagues. • Strong written, oral and interpersonal skills. • Team-oriented, curious, and self-starting approaches to all aspects of the role are a must.
