Schochet is Hiring! Schochet is currently hiring an Accounts Payable Assistant to join our busy accounting team. Responsibilities include processing all properties invoices and paying the invoices on a weekly basis. Setting up all new vendors in the YARDI property management software system and maintaining vendor’s certificates of insurances in YARDI. Additional job duties include but are not limited to: 1. Batch reports and invoices received from all properties are audited for accuracy and are posted on the YARDI system. 2. Invoices are organized by properties. Input data is available for Property Manager’s review and approval. 3. After invoices are approved for payment, the individual in this position processes checks for payment to the vendors. 4. Checks are prepared for mailing to the appropriate vendor. 5. Provide general administrative support when needed to the accounting team. 6. Additional duties might be assigned when needed. Qualifications: • Strong computer skills, Microsoft Office, spreadsheet applications and accounting software. Prior experience with Yardi is beneficial but not required • Self-directed and team player. • Experience in basic accounting and/or prior accounts payable experience is preferred. • Excellent communication and organizational skills required.
