I have a 100 year old Cape Cod home backed up to a 60-acre forest preserve, .9 mile from Lake Michigan, in the beautiful Sheridan Road corridor. The room is medium/small, 1st floor, in back of home facing deep backyard and the woods. No noisy neighbors; Buckley Hills is a semi-closed subdivision on the north end of Waukegan, across from Glen Flora Country Club, with only two entrances in and out for approximately 300 homes. Room is $495 a month, plus refundable security deposit $500. I have excellent Wi-Fi which rarely goes down, available for $35 monthly. Monthly lease with 30-days notice. Home has central air and each room has a oil heater with thermostat for cold weather. Bedroom doors have modern key lock handles. Basement laundry room with wash tub has high-end LG, high capacity washer and dryer. Landlord is a retired professional, active, lives on premises since buying home over 30 years ago. I have one female boarder, here 4 years, in room adjacent to the one being rented. Another female vacated the room now being rented, after two years and a job change. Rooms are designed for single occupancy, only by the renter. Small but very modern kitchen stocked with high end appliances. Very safe home; no break ins or vehicle vandalism since owning the home. I ask for current DL or state ID to start the interview process. No smokers, no drugs and no drinking on or outside the premises. An excellent maid comes every two weeks to clean bathrooms, kitchen, floors, rooms, etc. $35 per visit for tenants, paid same time as rent.
