San Diego Family Law Firm with an excellent reputation seeks an experienced, full-time, in-person paralegal. After 90 days, there is potential for one day of remote work. You will support attorneys in all family law cases, including drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, propounding discovery, and communicating with clients. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of heavy experience working as a family law paralegal. Knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation in family law. Experience with propounding discovery, analyzing and summarizing discovery responses, writing meet and confer letters, and motions to compel. Significant experience preparing detailed Schedules of Assets and Debts and Income and Expense Declarations. Knowledge of family court deadlines. Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in legal research and writing Attention to detail and organizational skills Associate's degree in paralegal studies or related field Essential Forms, Adobe, Word, and Excel, Court Filing Systems, and Legal Billing Programs Hours are flexible, 401 (k), health insurance, 2 weeks' vacation, and 1 week's sick time. 9 holidays. We are seeking an Independent Contractor Attorney with 4+ years of experience in business litigation (i.e. breach of contract, fraud, intentional interference with contract, trade secrets, defamation, employer defense lawsuits). While extensive litigation experience is necessary, experience with business transactions (i.e. buy/sell agreements, business formation, custom contracts, etc.) is a huge plus. The Contractor will be working remotely and must be able to handle a wide range of general business matters. Our Law Office is interested in a Contractor Attorney with excellent law and motion drafting skills, be familiar with trial preparation as well as be comfortable with all aspects of pleading and responding, discovery (including propounding and responding), along with meet and confer letters.
