Under the supervision of Quality Assurance Manager - Disc this position is responsible for assisting in defining, implementing, and maintaining all aspects of the quality management system (QMS) practices and procedures, as well as PED, ATEX, and NQA-1 certifications.  This position will work closely with the site QA Manager to ensure that the processes and procedures within the QMS are adhered to by site personnel as well as ensure that these associated business processes are aligned. This role, in conjunction with the site QA Manager, will be responsible for the execution of the site level internal audits and managing external audits. In addition, the QA Engineering will assist the QA Manager in the analysis of discrepancies in performance measures and compliance and will initiate actions with the site level managers to ensure compliance with those measures.    Requirements - Develop and implement quality systems, manuals and procedures to comply with AS9100/ISO9001, PED, ATEX, NQA-1, customer and other regulatory requirements. - Performs internal audits and reports to management on the effectiveness of the QMS and suggestions for improvement. - Perform system audits of other company facilities and suppliers. - Represents Company in regulatory and customer audits, facility surveys and third-party inspections. - Work to facilitate corrective actions to resolve nonconformities, especially related to system and standard compliance and product conformity. - Assist and advise the QA Manager and Quality Supervisor on issues related to compliance as needed.  - Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, documented procedures, engineering specifications, and customer requirements. - Provide training programs and instruction to employees related to regulatory and statutory compliance. - Work to maintain and develop QMS documentation (procedures, manuals, etc.) which meet all statutory and regulatory requirements. - Assists in Contract Review and Project reviews to identify all requirements and perform analysis on CDC’s ability to meet those requirements. - Works in conjunction with the QC supervisor to assist and answer questions that arise from QC inspectors. - Coordinate problem solving teams to identify and implement improvement activities. - Perform other duties as assigned, based on workload and business need. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent with three (3) years’ experience in quality assurance in a manufacturing environment.  - Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as welding, metallurgy, testing of rupture discs/valves, and process control techniques. - Experience in the maintenance of QMS. - Experience as an Internal Auditor for standards such as ISO9001, AS9100, IATF16949, NQA-1 - Experience in working with suppliers and supply chain to resolve issues. - Experience in leading and facilitating RCCA’s.
