Maintenance technician positions require that an individual be able to lift moderate weights of between 30-60 lbs. on a regular basis and the ability to stand and/or walk all day. In addition, occasional heavy lifting may be required. Duties of this position may require strength and endurance in performing heavy manual labor. Alternating on-call shifts required. Must live within 30mins of Newport, RI for on-call. Late second shift into third shift starting time anytime between 9 PM and 12 AM four hours per night Monday through Thursday evening and then either Saturday after 5 PM or anytime on Sunday. So five days per week four hours per night 20 hours per week total. Building reopens at 5 AM so all services have to be performed by no later than 4 AM in the morning. Commercial cleaning of bathrooms, lunchroom, offices, hallways, etc. There is a second shift of mostly men who work so you need to be comfortable around other people and be considerate. Second shift leaves at midnight.

This position requires use of hammers, nail guns and saws to repair and sort pallets for expanding pallet business. We will train candidates who want to learn, no experience required.
