DAO Labs is Hiring: Barista + Operations Lead (Short-Term, Minneapolis-Based) DAO Labs is a wellness company rooted in the wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine. We’re about to launch something brand new in Minneapolis: the DAO Labs Mobile Elixir Bar — a food truck serving herbal lattes, mocktails, tonics, and other functional drinks designed to make people feel good. 🚐 THE ROLE: BARISTA + OPERATIONS LEAD We’re looking for a hands-on café/coffee pro to help us launch and run the truck starting in October. This is a short-term, paid project role with the potential to extend. You’ll work side-by-side with our founders (yes, we’ll be in the truck too!) and culinary leads to: Make drinks and run daily service (yes, you’ll be on the bar) Support and train acupuncturists + wellness staff Troubleshoot on-site issues and keep operations smooth Manage POS, cash/tips, and service flow for an awesome guest experience Bring warmth and positivity — we want this to feel fun, approachable, and welcoming 🎯 WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR Barista or café/coffee shop experience (food truck or festival background = huge plus) Strong familiarity with Square POS Genuinely kind, people-positive, and a natural host: being really nice is non-negotiable Interest in herbs, adaptogens, or alternative health/wellness is a big plus Organized, reliable, and comfortable rolling with startup launch energy Minneapolis-based and available starting early - mid October. 💸 DETAILS Start: October Duration: Short-term (launch phase - based on weather), with potential to extend Schedule: Approx. 3–4 shifts per week during launch (flexible) Pay: Flexible — hourly or flat-rate depending on experience Perks: Be part of the first herbal elixir bar in Minneapolis, learn about Chinese herbs, and help shape a brand-new concept. 👉 Interested?
