Our restaurant offers an authentic Eastern European dining experience, reminiscent of a vintage Russian home, complete with antique furnishings, lace drapery, and crystal chandeliers. Our menu features home-style dishes from Russian, Ukrainian, and Georgian cuisines, complemented by house-infused flavored vodkas and signature cocktails.   Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our esteemed culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for authentic Eastern European cuisine and a commitment to maintaining the high standards of quality and presentation that Mari Vanna is known for. Key Responsibilities: • Station Setup: Efficiently set up and stock cooking stations with all necessary supplies, ensuring readiness for service. • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, including chopping, mixing, and cooking using various methods such as grilling, frying, and sautéing. • Quality Assurance: Ensure that dishes are prepared and presented in a timely manner, maintaining the high-quality standards of Mari Vanna. • Sanitation and Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage. Clean and sanitize cooking surfaces at the end of the shift. • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the rest of the kitchen staff to ensure efficient and harmonious kitchen operations. Qualifications: • Experience: A minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Line Cook, preferably in a restaurant specializing in Eastern European cuisine. • Culinary Skills: Proficiency in various cooking techniques and methods, with a keen eye for detail and presentation. • Communication: Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team. • Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks while maintaining quality and efficiency. • Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a culinary degree or certification is a plus.
