We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Cleaner/Janitor for a part-time position at a large office in Novi, MI. The primary responsibilities for this role include trash removal, sweeping, mopping, restroom cleaning, and dusting. The work is performed five days a week, after 6 PM, with shifts lasting approximately three hours. We offer flexible scheduling. Preferred candidates will have commercial cleaning experience. Additionally, applicants must meet the following requirements: * Be at least 18 years old * Be available for evening work * Be able to work independently * Have dependable transportation * Possess a strong work history * Have a felony-free background * Be able to pass a drug screening * Maintain a neat appearance The starting pay for this position is $18.00 per hour, with a re-evaluation after 90 days and potential for performance-based increases up to $19.00 per hour. The Williston Northampton Children’s Center strives to provide a stimulating, nurturing, developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children from infant to age 5 years of age. Children and families that attend our center come from both the Williston Northampton School community as well as the surrounding towns. We are currently seeking a part-time assistant pre-school teacher, preferably EEC certified, Monday - Friday from 3:00 PM-5:30 PM Primary responsibilities to include: maintaining the expectations of daily routine & classroom environment; assisting teachers with caring for children in the classroom, on walks, or on the playground; Working effectively in infant, toddler and preschool rooms; Move from one room to another without interruption of routines. Must be flexible and patient. Must have demonstrated experience in working with children in a group care setting. Must be able to take directions from a variety of people. Must be able to lift children weighing up to 50 pounds. Must be capable of bending, crouching, and /or kneeling to children’s level. Must be able to reach at and above shoulder height to access higher areas of play equipment, etc. Must be capable of frequent changes of position throughout the work shift. Looking for one or two hardworking individuals to give me a hand, for about 2 - 4 weeks in October, on an addition I am building on my shop. Need a couple extra hands to assist me with digging footers, form up and pour concrete, frame walls and install the roofing and house wrap. I also will be needing a hand with installing insulation inside the shop. If you have an artistic side or enjoy well designed details in architecture, I think you will enjoy the project! Location is in Palmer, about a mile from downtown. A work ethic is all that’s required and some basic motor skills. If you have some experience with construction that is a plus. If you can use a hammer, tape measure, shovel and ladder and are willing to work, I can teach you the rest. I’ve trained lots of high school graduates and other eager learners of all ages to perform work as simple as cutting a 2x4 all the way to passing aerospace welding tests.
