Our Sherman Oaks Law Office is seeking a full-time paralegal or experienced legal assistant to assist 2 busy attorneys (Family Law and Corporate Law). This is not a remote position. Hours are 9am - 5pm Monday through Friday. Candidate must have prior office experience, strong communication, legal calendaring experience, typing skills, working knowledge of Word, WordPerfect, Excel, Adobe Acrobat and be very detail oriented. Familiarity with court forms, e-filing, pleadings and discovery would be a huge plus. Must be fluent in English with excellent writing, grammar and spelling skills, and have the ability to operate a computer, copier, fax machine, and scanner.

Associate attorney commission is 50% of the attorney's fees paid in a given month. This fee split is very favorable compared to other Lewis County and Southwest Washington firms. The split is designed to incentivize and reward attorneys for their work, and historically results in higher annual income than a salary based model or salary/smaller commission hybrid. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience assisting attorneys in all aspects of family law litigation, including trial prep, document exchange, case.net e-filing, scheduling and maintaining the attorney calendar, working with billing programs, updating client files and working with clients.
