Operators are also expected to assist with the job by safely unloading waste from citizens' cars and safely transporting to a sortation area occupied by highly trained staff and, in addition, helping setup and breakdown the event. Forklift Operators are expected to stay later than most staff to help load the truck after the job. Events take place on Saturdays and some Sundays. Hours vary but are generally 6:30am to 3pm. Pay begins at $250 for the day and can grow up to $350 per day with additional training and responsibilities. If you have no credentials then you will begin at $200 until you demonstrate you can operate a forklift to our standard. If you cannot operate a forklift the Project Manager will determine if he will invite you back at that pay grade. You can qualify to start at $250 if you have one of the following: • Proof of OSHA Forklift training and experience • Bachelor’s Degree in Science from an accredited college/university located in the United States • Or a CURRENT 40 Hour HAZWOPER training certificate. Must provide copy of any certificates or degrees and official transcripts/ CURRENT 40 Hour HAZWOPER training certificate to qualify. New staff would be required to complete an online company training seminar before working the event. The company provides an extra $25 in the first paycheck as compensation for the training.
