Touch of Color has been in business in the Colorado Springs area for over 30 years. We are looking to hire someone who has painting experience. We are in the process of expanding the business and have many opportunities to grow in responsibilities and compensation based on your skill set and desire to learn. It would be helpful to have an understanding of working in both residential and new construction surroundings but not a requirement. Full time and contracted work is available. General skills/Requirements: - Experience spraying both paint, stain and lacquer products (Helpful for increased pay) - Paint brush, roller, caulking gun, and masking gun - Willing to train anyone in how to use a paint sprayer for both interior and exterior painting. - Shift hours are Monday - Friday (8:00am - 4:30pm); Weekends not required - A reliable vehicle and clean driving record is required as we have projects throughout Colorado Springs and the surrounding area. - Work vehicle may be assigned after verifying skill set for spraying. - Many of our jobs require working on scaffolding and high ladders. Key Responsibilities: Execute successful repairs independently to the satisfaction of BikeX QA standards. Communicate with customers in person regarding the status of their bicycle repair. Complete daily tasks as assigned within prescribed timelines while communicating any exceptions to the shop manager. Maintain tools and bench areas on a daily basis according to BikeX standards. Become familiar with BikeX’s' safety protocols. Wear safety equipment as required when using the grinder,air compressor, drills, power tools etc. Learn and follow safety procedures when utilizing degreasers, lubricants and ultrasonic parts cleaner. Learn and follow proper disposal of materials (recycle, compost, trash). Be a team player who collaborates with our small staff and dozens of volunteers to maintain a clean and organized workspace, share bike maintenance knowledge and tips, and assist with inventory management and parts ordering.
