EXPERIENCE: Not a factor EDUCATION: Must have TDSHS Certification, OR must have applied for TDSHS certification LANGUAGE: English, Spanish a plus DUTIES: Administer first aid treatment or life support care to sick or injured persons in prehospital settings. Perform emergency diagnostic and treatment procedures, such as stomach suction, airway management, or heart monitoring, during ambulance ride. Observe, record, and report to physician the patient's condition or injury, the treatment provided, and reactions to drugs or treatment. Immobilize patient for placement on stretcher and ambulance transport, using backboard or other spinal immobilization device. Maintain vehicles and medical and communication equipment and replenish first aid equipment and supplies. Assess nature and extent of illness or injury to establish and prioritize medical procedures. Communicate with dispatchers or treatment center personnel to provide information about situation, to arrange reception of victims, or to receive instructions for further treatment. Comfort and reassure patients. Decontaminate ambulance interior following treatment of patient with infectious disease and report case to proper authorities. Operate equipment, such as electrocardiograms (EKGs), external defibrillators, or bag valve mask resuscitators, in advanced life support environments. EEOE/M/F/V/D

Medical Assistant – Full Time (Non-Exempt) Pay Range: $17.00 – $24.00 per hour Position Summary The Medical Assistant supports cardiology providers by performing both clinical and administrative duties to ensure high-quality patient care. Administrative Duties: • Answer phones, schedule and confirm cardiology appointments, and manage patient flow. • Assist with prior authorizations, referrals, and coordination of diagnostic testing. • Enter and review data, including referral contracts and post-appointment information. • Review and edit medical reports for accuracy, grammar, spelling, and consistency. • Retrieve diagnostic test results and ensure proper scanning into the software system. • Coordinate with providers and operational staff to ensure timely and accurate report submissions. • Assist with preparation and delivery of reports across multiple business lines. • Perform additional administrative tasks as required. Skills and Qualifications • Strong multi-tasking and organizational abilities. • Excellent customer service and professional communication skills. • Proficiency with computers, electronic health records (EHR), and cardiology-specific diagnostic software. • Attention to detail and quality focus in a fast-paced environment. • Flexibility, time management, and ability to follow instructions effectively. Education and Experience • High school diploma or equivalent required. • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred. • Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) strongly preferred. • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred. • 1–2 years of prior experience in a medical office required; prior experience in cardiology highly preferred. Physical and Mental Requirements • Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions, strong decision-making and judgment skills. • Regularly required to stand, sit, talk, and hear; frequent reaching with hands and arms. • Occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or lift up to 20 pounds. • Visual abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
