Pluck, a James Beard–nominated Wine Bar & Restaurant in New Orleans' Warehouse District, is seeking a Kitchen Manager to lead our small but mighty team. We’re looking for someone organized, adaptable, and excited to collaborate on a dynamic food program. You’ll work closely with our consulting chef and ownership, with room for creative input and the potential to take on more responsibility as we grow. Compensation: $21–25/hour depending on experience, plus performance-based bonuses and potential for benefits. What You'll Do: -Oversee food costing, purchasing, scheduling and inventory -Train, motivate, and hold staff accountable -Ensure consistent quality, detail, and standards in a small, tight kitchen -Expo with confidence, maintain high culinary standards -Collaborate on menu development and sourcing with respect for ingredients What We’re Looking For: -3+ years in fine dining or elevated casual kitchens, with at least 1 year in a leadership role -Strong knife skills and culinary foundation -Knowledge of health codes/standards (we’ll cover certification if needed) -Self-starter who communicates clearly and works well with others -Basic Spanish a strong plus -Evening and morning availability -Sense of humor Physical Requirements: -Able to work on your feet for long hours -Comfortably reach, bend, and move in a tight line -Lift and carry up to 50 lbs To Apply: Send your resume and a brief cover letter answering these three questions: -What are your 3 favorite restaurants? -What's in your refrigerator right now? -What's your favorite food and beverage pairing? Looking for a dynamic new addition to our small team and our small family owned distillery in downtown Petaluma! We make grain-to-glass spirits at our distillery, and serve cocktails/tastings using these spirits in our barrel room tasting area. We are a small squad, and everyone wears many hats: responsibilities include making craft cocktails for visitors, pouring spirit flight tastings and talking about our spirits with customers, taking customer orders, using our POS system to charge orders through and handle club membership issues. Bartenders are also responsible for cleaning after shift, and light food service work (plating and serving desserts and small bites we serve with our cocktails). We need a friendly, multi tasking, hardworking person with a passion for what we make who can handle different parts of serving/ bartending/ and hosting. We are currently looking to fill a Wednesday shift, 4:30pm- 10pm, Friday shift 6pm- 11:30pm, Saturday shift 6- 11:30, and Sunday shift 3- 8:30. You must be able to lift 50lbs and work on your feet. Bartending, Spirits Knowledge, and/or Serving experience are a plus but not required - we can teach anyone, but you must have a passion for our industry and have a good comfort level interacting with customers.
