Goodsmith is Hiring an Operiations Manager! Goodsmith is seeking a disciplined, experienced, and detail-oriented Operations Manager to lead our in-house mechanical services team. This individual will manage daily operations across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repair services. The role requires field familiarity, operational precision, and the ability to provide high-touch service to discerning residential clients. This is a full-time, in-office leadership position offering a salary of $90,000 to $110,000 per year, plus performance-based incentives. A company vehicle will be provided after 60 days for use to/from work and on the job.   Key Responsibilities: Leadership and Team Management Supervise and coach a multi-trade team of field technicians. Estimate job durations and allocate labor resources accordingly. Monitor team performance and enforce standards around quality, appearance, and accountability. Promote a service-first, professional culture in the field and office.  Operations Management Procure materials and parts as needed for field work. Manage a 4-vehicle fleet including maintenance, cleanliness, and stock levels. Maintain operational discipline in the office: clean workspaces, accurate records, proactive coordination. Utilize field service software for dispatching, tracking, and job closeout. Customer Service  Serve as the point of escalation for complex or dissatisfied homeowner interactions. Communicate clearly and professionally with high-end residential clients. Ensure every job meets not only functional requirements, but also client expectations around service and presentation. Field Execution and Problem Solving Regularly visit job sites to ensure quality, resolve issues, and support technicians. Triage and problem-solve tasks that may span multiple trades or fall outside standard scope. The Electrical/Shop Service Technician designs, assembles, and tests electrical and hydraulic systems as well as trains and assists in both electrical and hydraulic builds on the shop floor. Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment within the establishment such as motors, pumps, conveyors, belt fans, and air conditioners. Dismantle, test, and analyze malfunctioning equipment, hand tools, and power tools to locate defects. Support and participate in the organization’s continual improvement program to conform to ISO 9001 requirements by complying with the Quality Policy and procedures and meeting QMS objectives.
