Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Security Officer to join our growing team. This position is based at a shopping center and is ideal for candidates who are confident in physical patrol operations and tenant engagement. Schedule Saturday & Sunday — 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM Duties & Responsibilities - Conduct vehicle patrols to detect, deter, and report unauthorized or suspicious activity. - Perform frequent tenant check-ins and respond to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies as needed. - Enforce site-specific policies and maintain a safe and secure environment. - Coordinate with local law enforcement when necessary. - Maintain a Daily Activity Report (DAR) using a company-provided cell phone. - Submit Incident Reports and Maintenance Requests as needed. Requirements - Must possess an active and physical Maryland Guard Card at the time of interview. - Prior security experience is not required but welcomed. - Must be able to operate a smartphone to complete daily reports, communicate with management, and document incidents as needed. - Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills. - Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time. - Must remain calm and professional under pressure. - Excellent verbal and written communication. - Capable of working independently and reliably. - Must pass a full background check and drug screening. - Must maintain a well-groomed, clean-cut appearance that reflects a professional image at all times while on duty. Additional Information - All interviews are conducted virtually via Zoom. A valid email address is required when applying. - If offered the position, applicants must report to our corporate headquarters in Manassas, Virginia for onboarding, processing, and uniform/equipment pick-up. - This job description is not exhaustive.
