Our Home is one of the fastest growing Better For You food brands in the country and this explosive growth requires great people with a passion for better-for-you snacks.​​ JOB SUMMARY This role contributes to our success by packaging and documenting the finished product produced from the production lines while following all HACCP procedures, ensuring quality measures are met, and assisting the supporting production staff.  ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND/KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 1.       Responsible to having a working knowledge of all SOPs associated with the packer position.   2.       Compliance required with safety procedures and programs   3.       Responsible for the cleaning and sanitation of the production areas and supporting equipment, food safety, and following Good Manufacturing Practices protocols   4.       Serves as primary point of contact for packing protocols for the employees on their shift when management is not present. 5.       Other responsibilities as assigned by Heartland Harvest management. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE ·       High School Diploma or Equivalent ·       One to two years related experience and training preferred Requirements KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS        ·       Attention to detail and self-starter ·       Must be able to learn and understand the extrusion process ·       Ability to do repetitive tasks, detail oriented, understanding of the food industry and safety standards ·       Basic Math Skills Required ·       Exceptional, grammar, writing, and documentation skills required.  ·       Teamwork and communication skills required WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS ·       Required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, taste, and smell ·       Occasionally lift/move 50 lbs ·       Specific vision includes the following: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus ·       Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes/airborne particles; risk of electrical shock and vibration ·       Forklift Operation required ·       All employees are responsible for immediately reporting any food safety, food quality, safety issues, or plant security issues to management for appropriate action. ·       All employees are responsible for upholding the principles of SQF Food Safety Code.
