Our busy and beautiful practice is seeking help during maternity leave! One of our hygienists will be on leave from 10/13/25 to early February 2026 (date tbd).We are currently looking for any-level experienced hygienist on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays working alongside another hygienist, two doctors, and two assistants. Typical hygiene appointments are scheduled for 60 minutes. We are a general family practice focusing on dental health education, prevention, and restorative dentistry for the whole family. Merritt College is a Community College located in the beautiful Oakland hills. The Bioscience department has been training students for fifteen years: our graduates work in Hospital histotech labs, Biotech companies, Personalized Medicine labs, and many other places. You don't need any sort of previous background in science to succeed in our courses, you just need curiosity and a strong interest in a meaningful career that pays a living wage (even for the Bay Area!). The best place to start is by taking Bioscience 101: Theory and Practice of Optical Microscopy. It is a fun, easy going class: you will learn about a variety of career options and gain a marketable skill as a microscopist.
