





Location: Various projects across Arizona (not remote) Schedule: Full-time About the Role The pipelayer is responsible for the installation and repair of underground utility systems including waterlines and sewer lines. This position requires working safely and efficiently in trench environments while maintaining accuracy in line and grade. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with underground wet utility installation, trench safety practices, and construction site coordination. Key Responsibilities -Install and align water and sewer pipe systems (PVC, ductile iron, HDPE, concrete, etc.) to proper grade and specifications. -Prepare trenches and bedding; assist in trench shoring, sloping, and safe access/egress. -Read and interpret blueprints, grade stakes, and pipe laser levels to ensure accurate installation. -Connect and test pipe joints and fittings to ensure watertight and secure systems. -Backfill and compact trenches in compliance with project and safety requirements. -Operate and maintain small equipment and hand tools related to pipe laying activities. -Work closely with the foreman, equipment operators, and laborers to ensure workflow efficiency. -Perform jobsite cleanup and assist with general labor tasks as needed. -Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and trench safety procedures. Qualifications -2+ years of experience in underground wet utility construction (water and sewer). -Knowledge of proper pipe types, materials, and installation techniques. -Ability to read and understand plans, specifications, and grade elevations. -Experience with pipe lasers and trench safety systems preferred. -Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physically demanding labor. -Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required. -OSHA 10 certification preferred (or ability to obtain). Physical Requirements -Ability to lift 50–100 lbs regularly. -Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and working in confined spaces or trenches. -Tolerance for outdoor work environments including heat, cold, and dust.
