Yard Supervisor Role: Full-Time Employment With Benefits We are New City Moving LLC, Chicago’s largest and most acclaimed independent moving company, as well as one of the largest single independent moving branches in the United States.  We are currently accepting candidates to join our team for the Yard Supervisor position.  The yard supervisor is in charge of maintaining order amongst the three yards that we occupy. General Duties: - Making sure people are following company rules. - Ensuring the yards are kept clean and that all company property is accounted for during each shift. - More specific duties include directing material handlers - Performing check-in/check-out procedures with crews - Reporting vehicle issues to the fleet team - Assisting with material distribution - Maintaining a spreadsheet of data regarding materials This position is in frequent communication with the dispatchers, the branch fleet manager, as well as personnel at our corporate office. Requirements: - The right individual must speak fluent English. - Excellent attention to detail. - Valid driver’s license. - lift up to 50lbs - Basic knowledge of how to navigate Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel. - Work a semi-firm schedule of flexible shifts. Delivery and Customer Support Driver Above all we are looking to hire someone with a great attitude. You will have frequent contact with our customers both in person and on the phone. Previous roles in customer service preferred. Must be detail oriented with ability to be flexible in handling a variety of assignments. A clean driving record is required. Must have reliable transportation. Hours will be Mon-Fri. This can truly be a great ground floor opportunity for the right individual. The primary responsibility will be to provide coffee delivery and maintenance cleaning service on our automated espresso equipment. Ideal candidate will have basic computer skills. Previous use of Microsoft Office products preferred: word, excel, outlook. With the right person this position will, in time, be the main point of contact for many of our customers. Over time, the ideal candidate will be given more responsibility and the ability to grow with the company, and expand into other roles as interested. This may include full time repair technician, or possibly sales. We are a local coffee provider, experiencing large growth. DESCRIPTION: Your job title will be Delivery Driver and Sales Support, and your activities will primarily be in the area of product delivery and customer care, as well as general work in the warehouse as needed. You will report to the Area Manager. A list of duties you will be required to perform is listed below, and you may be assigned other duties as needed. Your duties and activities may also change on reasonable notice, based on the needs of the Company and your skills, as determined by the Company. As the delivery driver, you are expected to arrive at the appointed start time and communicate with your direct supervisor for that day’s activities. The delivery driver is responsible for proper loading of items needed for that day’s sales, safely driving to customers’ accounts and other destinations, and delivering items and invoice to the account as per their requirements. There may be other work to be performed at the account as needed such as inspection of equipment and basic cleaning. You will also ensure the proper maintenance of company vehicles assigned to you, if any, and make sure they are kept clean at all times. Work hours are Monday-Friday, 8am to 5:00pm. With a lunch hour break. Other Duties to be performed, but not limited to: -Pull product per supplied documents (invoices, pick list…) for each day’s deliveries. Check needed inventory for accuracy, accountability, and recording as it is removed from warehouse. -Deliver product to customers. -Clean and inspect customers coffee machines. -Communicate with management, technicians, and sales team as needed. -Produce accurate and timely administrative documents, such as work orders, time reporting, receipts, truck stock inventory… -Preparation and/or processing of shipping documents, to ensure orders are shipped with accuracy and in a timely manner. -Assist in the preparation of espresso and coffee machines for installation at customer sites. -Repair espresso and coffee machines at warehouse as needed and trained to do so. -Read, review, and understand any machine user manuals, troubleshooting guides and technical training presentations as needed. -General cleanup of workplace, to include vehicles. This includes relevant areas at customer accounts. Other Requirements: Ability to occasionally lift 75 pounds, and regularly 25 lbs. Clean motor vehicle record. Data entry using various software products such as excel and word, and company specific software and applications for inventory management or for technical repair and service reporting will be required.
