Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Commercial Working Superintendent to oversee the day-to-day operations of job sites. This is a field-based position that requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, as well as the ability to self-perform carpentry or other trades when necessary. Key Responsibilities: • Manage all field operations on assigned commercial construction projects. • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and laborers. • Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations. • Perform light carpentry or other trades to maintain progress and quality when required. • Maintain project schedules and communicate timelines effectively. • Conduct daily job site walks, safety meetings, and progress reports. • Liaise with project managers, architects, engineers, and inspectors. • Ensure job site cleanliness, organization, and a positive work environment. • Track material deliveries and inventory on-site. Qualifications: • 5+ years of commercial construction experience, including supervisory roles. • Proven ability to read blueprints and construction documents. • Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and site safety practices. • Ability to self-perform work as needed (carpentry, layout, minor framing, etc.). • Excellent communication and leadership skills. • Proficient with project management tools, scheduling software, and MS Office. • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Preferred Qualifications: • OSHA 30 certification. • Experience with design-build projects or fast-track commercial builds. • Superintendent that still works with their tools.
