Hi there. My name is Dave Schneider. I'm a 60 year old who grew up in Danville and whose father had practiced dentistry in Walnut Creek since 1957. I had a successful dry cleaning delivery business down in the south bay for 23 years. Then Covid hit. I spent the last two and a half years as a one-man employee/business owner while looking for a business that would be meaningful and impactful. Well, I found it. Are you a vibrant senior (roughly 40+ years old) who wants to enable older seniors to stay in their homes and avoid institutionalization as long as possible - or perhaps provide respite for a family caregiver? Maybe you can understand the difficulties a family caregiver experiences and wish to respectfully offer some help? Or perhaps you have been looking for meaningful and flexible part-time employment and can't find it? You have a unique depth of life experience to share. I want to help you accomplish that. Many of our caregivers say that they are "paying it forward." Might you resonate with any of this? We provide paid training and will help you through the process of being listed on the CA Department of Social Services Home Care Aide Registry as well as securing the required background checks. Working hours will be flexible, depending on your availability. We match you up with a compatible senior who needs your companionship and assistance. Duties will be non-medical and may include light housework or yard work, meal preparation, medication reminders, driving to appointments, and in some cases assistance with the activities of daily living. Chances are good that you've already had the opportunity to serve an older loved one in one or more of these ways. We want someone like you ready to give back out of life experience; someone like you who has great customer service skills, a big heart, and a desire to have a positive impact on the lives of seniors.
