Journeyman Meat Company is looking for a retail butcher for our butcher shop, restaurant, and wine tasting bar located in downtown Healdsburg. Using your butchery and culinary skills, you will cut meat and suggest preparations while your customers sip on a glass of wine! Please send resume to apply. Journeyman has a highly curated meat selection, including dry-aged, prime, and grass-fed beef, Japanese Wagyu, and estate beef raised on our family ranch in Alexander Valley. We strive to offer our customers the highest quality meats available and source our meat from farms and ranches that meet the industry’s highest standards. We also offer our artisanal locally-made salumi, sausage, bacon, ham, guanciale, and pancetta. Job Requirements: *Must have customer service and some butchery experience. *Must be friendly, talkative and outgoing. *Must be able to assist customers with their selections (cooking times, recipe suggestions, etc.) *Must become knowledgeable about all products in the shop Our Ideal Candidate Is: *Organized and can keep a clean and order area throughout shifts *Able to communicate professionally with co-workers, managers, and guests *Never late and able to follow instructions *Flexible and able to support and get along with others *Hard working and responsible *Able to lift 50+ pounds *Able to stand for long periods of time
