We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented General (Architectural) Inspector to join our team for an exciting project located in the District of Columbia. This role is ideal for a highly motivated professional with a strong background in architectural inspection, a deep understanding of building codes and regulations, and a commitment to ensuring quality and compliance in all phases of construction. As a General Inspector, you will play a critical role in verifying that architectural aspects of the construction project meet all relevant standards, specifications, and client expectations. You will also serve as a liaison between various project stakeholders, providing clear communication and expert insight throughout the inspection process. General Inspector Responsibilities & Duties • Conduct thorough inspections of buildings and structures to ensure compliance with building codes and standards • Review architectural plans and specifications to understand the project's requirements • Identify and report any discrepancies or non-compliance issues during inspections • Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve construction issues • Assist in maintaining project documentation, including permits, submittals, and inspection records. • Participate in project meetings to provide updates on inspection progress and findings. • Prepare detailed inspection reports and documentation • Monitor construction sites to ensure work progresses according to approved plans • Verify the quality of materials used in construction • Ensure safety protocols are followed during construction activities • Provide recommendations for corrective actions to address any identified issues • Stay updated on changes to building codes, standards, and regulations General Inspector Qualifications & Skills • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or a related field • Certification from a recognized inspection or architectural body • Extensive experience in architectural inspections or related roles • Strong understanding of building codes, standards, and regulations • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Attention to detail and strong analytical abilities • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering plans • Strong problem-solving skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Associate's degree or relevant certification in construction, architecture, or a related field with minimum of two years' experience in architectural inspection or a related field may also be considered.
