🏗️ Now Hiring: Lead Estimator / Project Manager – Commercial Construction Location: In-office Pay: $85,000 – $120,000 annually (based on experience) Job Type: Full-time About Us We are a growing commercial construction and precast concrete company specializing in high-quality structural and architectural projects. We are looking for an experienced Lead Estimator / Project Manager to join our leadership team and oversee both preconstruction estimating and project execution from start to finish. Position Overview The Lead Estimator / Project Manager plays a dual role — leading the estimating and bidding process while also managing awarded projects through scheduling, budgeting, and coordination. This individual must have strong technical knowledge of commercial and precast construction, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and client relations. Key Responsibilities Estimating Duties: - Lead preparation of detailed cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and bid proposals for commercial and precast projects. - Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, and scopes of work to ensure accurate project pricing. - Solicit, review, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier bids. - Identify cost-saving opportunities, value engineering options, and potential risks. - Develop and maintain a historical cost database and estimating templates. - Collaborate with leadership to develop bid strategies and proposal presentations. Project Management Duties: - Oversee project scheduling, budgeting, and execution from award to closeout. - Coordinate with clients, engineers, field crews, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery and quality performance. - Review and approve submittals, RFIs, change orders, and progress billings. - Monitor project costs and profitability throughout the life cycle. - Lead regular project meetings to discuss progress, risks, and solutions. - Ensure full compliance with safety standards (OSHA), quality control, and company policies. Qualifications - Minimum 5+ years of experience in commercial construction estimating and/or project management, preferably with precast or structural concrete experience. - In-depth knowledge of construction drawings, codes, and project specifications. - Proficiency with Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or On-Screen Takeoff, and Microsoft Office Suite. - Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills. - Proven track record managing multiple bids and projects simultaneously. - Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required). Preferred Skills - Experience in precast, tilt-wall, or structural concrete projects. - Familiarity with Design-Build delivery and negotiated project environments. - Knowledge of Procore, Viewpoint, or similar project management software. - Ability to develop and maintain strong client and subcontractor relationships.
