I create one-of-a-kind resin block art pieces generally ranging from 4” to 12” x 3” deep. Sanding requires attention to detail, patience, and a true desire to help artist stay in front of deadlines. Applicable experience is varied but compatible to sanding any surface in preparation for enamel, paint, or any finish that requires a flawless surface for final coating. The role is PT during open store/studio hours of M-Sat 9-4. We’re a small business and the sanding position is ideal for someone who likes to work on tasks that require focus, patience and working independently. Other responsibilities include keeping workspace clean, helping with trash and recycling, assisting artist with any tasks such as changing filters and general shop/store upkeep. I’m looking for someone who is kind, professional, and cares about their trade/skills. The pieces I create are one-of-a-kind and include sentimental flowers/items that are irreplaceable for the clients. While we try and keep a relaxed, friendly atmosphere the reality is there is a significant volume of sanding that is crucial to the process and timeline. The PT position pays $22 hourly and is paid on the books weekly. We do require a W4 and use an outside payroll company so please don’t apply if you are looking for a cash/side gig as this is non-negotiable. Refreshments and snacks during your shift.
