What You'll Do: You will be the face of our quality craftsmanship, handling all aspects of window installation in the field. Perform precise window installations, including block frame, nailing flange, and stucco fin work. Handle exterior prep, such as siding cut-back and detailed trim work. Safely operate power tools like circular, table, and chop saws. Work comfortably on ladders to ensure perfect installations. We're Looking For: Experienced Installer or a dedicated Trainee ready to learn the trade. A background in construction or finish carpentry is a big plus! We are passionate about preserving and restoring iconic designs, including the Herman Miller 670 lounge chair, using expert craftsmanship and traditional woodworking techniques. Position Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Craftsman to join our team. This role requires a deep understanding of fine woodworking, furniture restoration, and repair techniques. The ideal candidate has experience working with high-end wood furniture, strong attention to detail, and a passion for craftsmanship. Key Responsibilities Furniture Restoration and Repair Restore, repair, and refinish high-end antique furniture to original specifications. Perform structural repairs, veneer work, joint stabilization, and surface refinishing. Identify wood species and select appropriate materials and restoration techniques. Replicate missing or damaged furniture components using traditional woodworking methods. Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools with precision and care. Finishing and Detailing Hand-strip, sand, and prepare surfaces for finishing. Apply stains, lacquers, oils, and other finishes to match original colors and sheens. Match and blend finishes for seamless restoration of historical and modern pieces. Quality Control and Client Satisfaction Ensure that all restored pieces meet the company's craftsmanship standards and client expectations.
