Location: Denver, 80205 | Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Hours: 23.5 hrs/week | Pay: $19/hr We are seeking a dependable, calm, and attentive caregiver to assist a blind, elderly veteran in his home. This role is primarily homemaking—perfect for someone grounded, respectful, and attentive to routine. ⸻ 🧑‍🦯About the Client The client is a talkative, kind-hearted older gentleman who’s a former veteran who lives independently with his cat, enjoys incense, music, and conversation, and smokes cigarettes and cannabis on occasion. He also drinks alcohol moderately. He has PTSD and thrives best with someone who is non-boisterous, calm, and observant of his rhythms. ⸻ 🧹 Duties Include: • General companionship (conversation, engagement) • Light housekeeping: • Mop floors weekly • Clean bathroom weekly • Vacuum bedroom weekly • Accompanying client to doctor's appointments (as needed) • Occasional errands ⸻ ✅ Ideal Candidate Traits: • Calm, gentle, and communicative • CPR-certified • Client prefers a caregiver who is not glued to the phone, but is rather present and alert during shift • Comfortable in an environment with incense, a cat, and occasional smoke • Flexible and open-minded ⸻ ⚠️ Important Notes: • Client has an allergy to penicillin • Client smokes cigarettes and weed and drinks alcohol occasionally in his home • Cat lives in the household (no pet care required) ⸻ Security & Oversight Notice The client’s home is actively monitored through strict agency oversight (because he is blind), scheduled visits, and regular communication with case managers. While the home is respectful and private, caregiver activity is closely tracked and documented.
