Position: Tow Truck Operator Location: 549 South Walnut Rd, Turlock Employment Type: Full Time, Nights, Weekends Salary/Compensation: Based on experience Key Responsibilities: 1. Towing Vehicles: ○ Safely tow vehicles to designated locations, including impound lots, repair shops, and customer addresses, using a tow truck. ○ Operate tow truck equipment, including winches, chains, and other towing tools, to safely secure and transport vehicles. ○ Assess and follow traffic regulations and safety protocols during towing operations to ensure compliance with local laws. 2. Tow Truck Maintenance: ○ Perform routine maintenance on tow trucks, including checking and maintaining fuel levels, oil changes, tire pressure, and other essential vehicle systems. ○ Keep tow trucks clean and in good working condition by regularly washing the exterior and inspecting for any issues that may affect performance. ○ Ensure that all towing equipment (e.g., straps, chains, winches) is in safe working condition. 3. Safety Compliance and Record-Keeping: ○ Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure the safe handling of vehicles & equipment. ○ Complete necessary paperwork and documentation for each tow including vehicle condition reports. ○ Ensure that all activities comply with local, state, and federal laws and environmental regulations. 4. Customer Service: ○ Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers in a professional and courteous manner. 5. Other Duties as Assigned:○ Assist with other tasks related to towing operations, vehicle processing, or shop maintenance as directed by the supervisor. Skills & Qualifications: ● Experience: Previous experience with towing operations and automotive maintenance preferred. ● Skills: Ability to operate tow truck equipment safely; knowledge of vehicle parts. ● Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy parts and perform physically demanding tasks in a safe manner. ● Licensing: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record ● Communication: Good communication skills to report issues, coordinate with customers, and interact with team members. ● Attention to Detail: Ability to identify and track parts, ensure vehicle safety, and maintain accurate records.
