Live-In House & Dog Sitter Wanted -Good Fit for Grad Student or WFH (Northridge)
9442 Petit Ave, Northridge, CA 91343, USA
Busy physician seeking a reliable, respectful live-in house and dog sitter. This is an ideal arrangement for someone who loves dogs and wants a comfortable, low-cost housing option in exchange for light daily responsibilities. About the Role: You’ll help care for three medium-sized rescue dogs. One of them strongly prefers women—likely due to past trauma—so this opportunity is best suited for a female sitter. The dog is not aggressive toward men, but builds trust much more easily with women. Responsibilities include: • Feeding, brushing, and playing with the dogs daily (with reasonable days off) • Being home with them on the 1–2 days a week when I work long shifts (8+ hrs) • Optional: help with light housekeeping, laundry, or errands (for which a small monthly stipend may be offered) What You Get: • Free private room and shared use of the entire home, including: • Full kitchen • Laundry • Gorgeous backyard with pool, BBQ, and space to relax • Freedom to entertain friends and enjoy the home like it’s your own (responsibly, of course) • Weekly professional house cleaning service • A peaceful environment ideal for studying or remote work Who Might Be a Great Fit: • A responsible grad student (especially from CSUN—just minutes away!) • A remote worker or freelancer seeking affordable housing • Someone who loves animals and lives a relatively calm, steady-paced lifestyle This is not a full-time job, but more of a home-sharing arrangement with some caretaking responsibilities. If this sounds like a fit for you, please reply with a bit about yourself, your schedule, and experience with dogs or house-sitting. I look forward to hearing from you!
