Fabrication Specialist - Router Table (Westminster)
Serpentix Conveyor, LLC is seeking a full-time, skilled and detail-oriented Fabrication Specialist with expertise with 3D Router Table operation to join our manufacturing team. This position would require candidates to fulfill responsibilities on the fabrication shop floor (100%). The ideal candidate has strong technical aptitude, a solid understanding of fabrication processes, and a commitment to producing high-quality, precise products. You will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining specialized router table equipment to cut, shape, and finish materials according to detailed specifications.
Duties & Key Responsibilities:
• Set up and operate manual and CNC router tables to produce custom components from materials for plastics, and composites.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine project specifications and material requirements.
• Select, install, and adjust appropriate tooling, cutting speeds, and feed rates to ensure precision and efficiency.
• Perform quality control inspections on finished parts using precision measurement tools like calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor troubleshooting on router tables and associated equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Prepare and load raw materials onto the router table, ensuring proper placement and secure clamping.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety procedures and regulations.
• Collaborate with other team members, such as designers and assemblers, to maximize productivity and ensure all production deadlines are met.
• Document production details, quality checks, and maintenance activities by completing accurate logs.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience operating manual or CNC router tables in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
• Strong mathematical and mechanical aptitude, with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) or Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software is a plus.
• Knowledge of various hand and power tools used in fabrication, such as sanders, drill presses, and saws.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift or move objects up to 75 pounds.
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
Preferred Skills (Optional):
• Experience with specific router table software (e.g., EnRoute, Mach3).
• Previous experience working with polymers and plastic compounds.
• Knowledge of optimization techniques to reduce material waste (nesting).
Compensation:
Hourly or Salary wage is depending on experience and knowledge. Available 401K / profit sharing, health insurance, paid vacation, & sick time are offered after minimum workplace tenure is accrued.
