Responsibilities: Prepare and bake pastries, cookies, cakes, and specialty desserts to Confections of a Rockstar standards. Assist with cake prep, fillings, frostings, and finishing work for catering and retail orders. Maintain consistency, accuracy, and attention to detail in all recipes and products. Manage baking schedules to meet daily shop needs and custom catering deadlines. Operate and care for bakery equipment (mixers, ovens, proofers, sheeters, etc.). Ensure all products meet food safety and sanitation guidelines. Collaborate with the team on new menu ideas, seasonal specials, and custom creations. Keep work areas clean, organized, and stocked. Qualifications 1–3 years of professional baking experience preferred (pastry, bread, or cake decorating experience a plus). Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredient functions, and kitchen safety. Ability to follow recipes and also adapt creatively when needed. Excellent time management and ability to work under pressure. Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays. Team player with a positive, dependable, and hardworking attitude. What You'll Need: • Must be at least 18 years of age. • 6 months+ of work experience in a customer service/or sales experience in a retail environment. • Basic knowledge or experience using computers and mobile phones. • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. • Legally authorized to work in the United States. • Bilingual in Spanish preferred in some areas. • High school diploma/GED. • Physical Demands: Must be able to stand for long periods of time on the sales floor. Must be able to move and/or lift up to 15 pounds. Retail employees are regularly required to talk and hear; frequently required to stand, walk, and use their hands and fingers to handle objects, feel, and operate a computer. Compensation: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour DOE. The base pay does not factor in an aggressive commission program when goals and objectives are met. This is a full-time position, Friday to Tuesday, 8am to 4pm Required Duties: • Carefully pack orders, paying particular attention to delicate items to prevent creasing and damage during shipping. • Process completed orders before packing, identifying missing items for backorders, and requesting items from Purchasing and Production. • Determine method of shipment by utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, rates, and routes. • Utilize shipping software to print shipping labels and customs documents. • Attach shipping labels on cartons; identify shipping information on goods. • Keep and verify records on incoming and outgoing shipments. • Manage and prioritize workload, operating efficiently and effectively. • Maintain a clean, organized, well-stocked, and presentable workspace. • Comply with company safety procedures and safety-first culture.
