The ideal schedule is 3 to 4 days per week, 4 hours per day. Children: None Duties: This positon is to provide companionship and support to an 85-year-old-female. Duties include providing companionship and engage in meaningful conversation, driving to doctor’s appointments, social outings, and errands, accompanying her to enjoyable activities such as lunch, bird watching at the Baylands, or visiting the library, assisting with light household projects, assistance with stairs and getting in/out of the car, helping foster a positive, uplifting daily routine. Requirements: This role requires experience in a similar role with strong references, a friendly, patient, and dependable personality, valid driver’s license, must be comfortable assisting with a wheelchair and transportation logistics, have an interest in providing joyful companionship over the long term. Waterfall Tour Guides Needed (Columbia River Gorge)
Hello job seekers! We’re Waterfall Shuttle a local business that shows off the best of the Columbia River Gorge to visitors and we have a tour guide position available. Compensation for tour guides starts at $20/hr + tips and goes to $25/hr once training is completed. The bus is stored in Gresham, you drive it from there to Downtown Portland hotels where you pick up your guests, drive them to the waterfalls, lead them on short hikes, and then bring them back to their hotel. On days when we run two tours your shift may be over 12 hours long. Must have experience being a tour guide (or similar customer facing position) and driving large vehicles. For this position we're looking for someone with some flexibility in their schedule. The position is for 1-2 - 6 - 8 hour shifts per week on the weekend. You'll know 24 hours before the tour start time if there's a tour, no tour, or two tours going the next day. Most days you'll have at least one tour/day though it's not guaranteed.
