Shampoo Assistant

The Shampoo Assistant assists the Salon stylists, receptionists, and management to ensure product levels are accurate and that clientele receives a warm, friendly, and professional interaction. The Shampoo Assistant is responsible for providing a relaxing shampoo experience to clients and assist in general clean up supply stocking in the salon. Pay Rate: $16.64, plus gratuity Schedule: Wednesday: 11:00am-7:00pm Thursday: 11:00am-7:00pm Saturday: 9:00am-5:00pm Job Responsibilities: Be on time for your shift, prompt with each appointment, and perform services within the appropriate time allotted for the service. Treat members, guests & employees with fairness, integrity, positivity, and consistency. Act as support system to our Spa & Salon Director & staff. Perform shampoos and application of reconditioning treatments, with working knowledge of shampoos and conditioners used. Provide a relaxing & enjoyable shampoo experience. Welcomes clients warmly with beverage offering, and any other comfort or check-in needs. Upkeep of overall Salon cleanliness, to include but not be limited to sweeping after each haircut, straightening furniture, beverage station, counter tops, tool sanitization, pick up of towels, trash, and magazines, and restroom cleanliness. Stocking all Salon supplies necessary to include, but not be limited to shampoos, conditioners, treatments, tools, Salon gowns, and towels. Strong communication with reception/management for inventory replenishment. Thorough understanding of the opening and closing procedures. Requirements Experience with working in a luxury, upscale environment with strong hospitality focus preferred. Ability to multitask, work well under pressure, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work weekends and be flexible with schedules. Minimum three months’ Salon experience required, or comparable training program. Exceptional organizational, written, and oral communication skills. Must be able to sell Salon retail products. Current cosmetology license required. Deliver a strong & consistent work ethic. Detail oriented. Strong commitment to team mentality establishing and maintaining the confidence of the staff. Assist in the upkeep of cleanliness standards throughout shift of designated stations and dispensary. Present a professional image with appropriate hair and attire following East Bank Club’s dress code guidelines. Must have enthusiasm and possess excellent customer service skills. Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa or salon that require attention. Ability to multitask, work well under pressure, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work weekends and be flexible with schedules. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. Must be able to sit or stand for sustained periods of time.
