The Lake Oswego Corporation (LOC) is charged with stewarding, improving and preserving Oswego Lake. Our shareholders and easement members entrust us to manage the waterways and surrounding land to promote habitat protection, water quality as well as watercraft and swimmer safety. We underwrite the resources needed to manage the lake’s infrastructure needs, including water flows and testing, flood control, dredging, hydroelectric power generation, dock and access maintenance, and dam safety coordination. Distinguishing Characteristics: - Self-starting individual with a strong initiative who requires minimum supervision - Effective communicator who can listen and respond to the concerns of shareholders and other LOC employees Essential Functions and Duties: - Reports to the Operations Leadership Team - Assists Full-time employees with repair and maintenance tasks - Preforms landscaping, painting and other property maintenance tasks - Helps remove debris from the lake and correct navigation issues - Assists in aquatic chemical applications - Assists with LOC events such as 4th of July fireworks and on water concerts - The LOC believes that each employee makes a significant contribution to our success. That contribution should not be limited by the functions and duties outlined in this job description. It is our expectation that each employee will offer their services wherever and whenever necessary to ensure the success of our endeavors. Minimum Qualifications: - Must be available to work weekends and some holidays - Ability to lift upto 50 lbs - Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions - Ability to obtain an LOC operators License and OSMB Boater Education Card - Ability to obtain a Class C fuel operator license Desired Qualifications: - Experience operating watercraft and working on/over water - First Aid/ CPR training - Experience using basic hand and power tools To Apply: Please send a resume to operations@lakecorp.com.
