This is an exciting leadership opportunity to manage and execute high-end wedding dress alterations, collaborating directly with the designer, and overseeing the tailoring process from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in bridal alterations, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to lead a team while maintaining top-tier craftsmanship. Responsibilities: -Lead and manage alterations of luxury wedding dresses from start to finish, ensuring a flawless fit and quality -Create and alter patterns as needed to achieve the perfect design and fit -Work directly with the designer to meet bridal clients' needs and preferences -Handle fine fabrics, including delicate laces, silks, beaded gowns, and other luxurious materials -Skilled in techniques such as baby hems, French seams, and more -Iron and press garments to achieve a pristine look -Demonstrate impeccable hand sewing skills -Use sewing machines, sergers, and other professional tools for efficient and accurate alterations -Take precise measurements and make necessary adjustments to ensure perfect fit -Ensure all alterations meet high-quality standards for bridal garments -Maintain a clean and organized work area -Collaborate with the team to meet production goals and deadlines, while training and mentoring junior tailors Requirements: -5 to 10 years of proven experience as a seamstress/tailor, specializing in altering high-end wedding dresses -Proven leadership skills in a tailoring environment -Expertise in garment construction techniques and alterations for bridal gowns -Proficiency with sewing machines, sergers, and all relevant sewing tools -Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform precise alterations -Basic math skills for measurements and calculations -Excellent communication and customer service skills -Ability to work independently and lead a team in a fast-paced environment -Ability to maintain the highest level of craftsmanship and quality Paid position with competitive compensation with benefits.
