KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Household Management & Organization: - Create and maintain household organization systems (closets, storage, pantry, toys) - Reset and tidy rooms throughout the week, maintaining overall neatness and prepping for weekly home for cleaning services - Conduct seasonal swaps (clothing, décor, bedding, sizing for kids, etc.) - Coordinate with service providers (cleaners, contractors, interior designers, landscapers) - Prepare and coordinate donation pick-ups and drop-offs - Handle miscellaneous household tasks as they arise (e.g., organizing spaces like the attic, garage, and mudroom) - Load/unload dishwasher, wipe surfaces, vacuum high traffic areas Inventory Management & Errands: - Run errands such as grocery shopping, dry cleaning, pharmacy pickups, returns, and gift shopping - Assist with managing kids’ activities, school sign-ups, and summer camp coordination - Handle household inventory, including proactively managing shared shopping lists for pantry staples and household supplies - Support children’s reading interests- including book selection, placing holds, and picking up/returning books from the library. - Shop for and organize all household groceries, meal-related items, and inventory. Laundry & Linen Care: - Manage laundry for adults and the linens of the household a, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing (parents’ clothing and all household linens) - Iron and prepare outfits as needed - Refresh linens, including towels and bedding, and restock household essentials - Keep all laundry areas tidy and well-stocked with supplies Family Support & Child Assistance: - Provide light supervision, playtime, and backup childcare as needed - Help with future school and activity pick-ups/drop-offs if trust is established **Deep Cleaning & Special Projects: - Maintain and refresh high-traffic zones in the house (e.g., attic, entryways, garage, mudroom, etc.) - Clean and maintain appliances like washing machines as needed (e.g., quarterly basis) - Organize special projects, including toy storage, seasonal décor, and gear rotation Administrative & Personal Assistant Support: - Co-manage family calendars and assist with scheduling for school, activities, and appointments - Proactively research, present options, and subsequently sign up for kids’ activities, including summer camps, ensuring all deadlines are met - Assist with coordination of events, appointments, guests, and special occasions - Coordinate online tasks for children’s schools, such as lunch selection and school-related scheduling OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE You thrive in a family environment and take pride in creating structure, order, and ease for others.
