




I am a published writer/photographer with an ongoing meditation practice and passion for social justice. I have physical, sensory and cognitive limitations that affect all aspects of my life. I seek someone who can flexibly respond to whatever is going on during a given shift, someone kind, careful, well-organized, efficient and calm. A sense of humor couldn't hurt. All genders welcome. Pay comes from IHSS ($20/hr gross) plus $3-5 tip per hour net after a trial period. Duties: Housework. I see cleaning products. Home and office organizing, including filing paperwork Shopping Vegetarian cooking and meal planning Errands Occasional personal care (no bowel or bladder programs) Rides in your car to appointments, farmers' markets and parks Patient teaching/reminding of computer/smartphone protocols Simple non-erotic massage Cat care Occasional fix-it projects If you can do some but not all of that, please apply anyway. $25/hr for someone who can/will do all of the tasks listed. Requirements: Fluent English speaker Non-smoker Detail-oriented quick learner Fragrance-free. (Nothing scented on your skin, hair or laundry products. Read the labels. If it doesn't say "fragrance-free" or "unscented" it will have fragrances.) No dryer sheets. Can follow written and oral directions, work independently and with me. Be or become an IHSS (In-Home Support Services) provider. This means passing a criminal background check and being able to work legally in the US. See PASCC.org for more info. Current COVID and flu vaccination and boosters (if you are not vaxxed and boosted tell me why and I'll decide on a case-by-case basis.) Valid driver’s license and a registered, insured, reliable vehicle that nobody smokes in and I am able to ride in. 16 or older Able to do this job without exacerbating health challenges of your own. I reimburse for driving done on my behalf at the current Fed. mileage rate. Hours are flexible and rarely include early morning or late night. I’m looking for someone(s) to work 10-25 hrs/week.
