VESTRA Resources Inc. is seeking an energetic, self-motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our GIS / IT services team as a GIS Analyst. This is a full-time, 40 hours/ week, benefited position. This is not a remote position; this position will report to our office location in Redding, CA with some travel required to client sites or other GIS-related activities. Duties include a wide range of consulting work, including database design, application design, data development, cartographic mapping, software installation, user training, acceptance testing, rollout support, and technical support. Knowledge of cartographic principles and standards and demonstrated proficiency with ESRI ArcGIS and standard Microsoft Office packages are required. Qualified candidates shall possess: B.S. / B.A. in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, Planning or related discipline with 3 or more years of GIS experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated knowledge and skills using Esri's suite of GIS products. Experience with ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Field Maps required. Experience with ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Portal, ArcGIS Experience Builder, and ArcGIS Survey123 a plus. Experience with ArcGIS Parcel fabric Implementation and parcel editing and updates a plus. Knowledge of applications of GIS within specific domains such as natural resources, agriculture, local and state government, or transportation preferred. Knowledge of QA/QC techniques to assess the quality, accuracy and content of spatial databases. Proficient knowledge of modeling, geoprocessing, and analysis using GIS software and datasets. Knowledge of the programming language Python highly preferred. Knowledge of programming languages, such as JavaScript or HTML5 is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a desire to interact with clients and agency staff. Excellent organizational skills and ability to thrive in a fast paced, high-pressure, challenging work environment. Genuinely excited and enthusiastic about learning and pushing technical limits and finding new solutions. Position requires driving; current/valid unrestricted driver's license required.
